What Technicians Do at UPS

UPS technician roles cover one of the most diverse maintenance environments in U.S. logistics, from wide-body freighters at Worldport to EV fleet upkeep and advanced sort automation.

Aviation Maintenance Technician

Maintain UPS's Boeing 747, 767, 757, and MD-11 fleet to FAA standards. Line maintenance, scheduled inspections, engine runs, system troubleshooting, and airworthiness documentation.

Worldport Facility Technician

Maintain the mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems inside UPS's Worldport and regional sort facilities. Diagnose faults, execute PMs, and support the automated infrastructure processing millions of packages per shift.

Automotive / Diesel Technician

Service UPS’s massive ground fleet including package cars, feeder trailers, and Class A tractors. Perform brake work, engine diagnostics, air systems, hydraulics, and safety inspections at hub vehicle maintenance centers.

EV & Automation Technician
